Etta Virginia Coyner Long, 81, of Hillsborough, New Jersey died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at JFK at Haven Hospice in Edison, New Jersey. She was born March 14, 1924, in Morgantown, W.Va., the daughter of the late Joseph Garrison and Retta Lane Garrison. She was preceded in death by her first husband Mark Coyner, who died in 1954 and also by her second husband Donald Long, who died in 1993. Surviving are son Mark Daniel and wife Linda Coyner of Buckhannon; two daughters: Linda Lou Coyner and husband Jerome Greene of Naples, Fla. and Peggy and husband Stanley Nadbielny of Hillsborough, New Jersey; brother Tom and wife Ada Garrison of Dunbar, W.Va.; grandson Mark Daniel Coyner Jr. and wife Amanda of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two granddaughters: Charla D. Escobar and husband Michael of Moriches, New York and Caren D. Wilcher and husband Lyn of Charleston, W.Va.; great-granddaughters: Dominique Demus and Ashlee Wilcher; great-grandsons: Matteo Escobar, Mark Aaron Coyner, and Christian Lee Coyner. Mrs. Long was a homemaker. She was a resident of Hillsborough, N.J. spending her winters in Naples, Fla. and vacationing frequently in Buckhannon. Mrs. Long was an animal lover and enjoyed gardening, cooking and feeding the birds. The graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m. today, Dec. 23, 2005 at the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice of Buckhannon, 1 Amalia Drive, Buckhannon, WV 26201. The Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
