Mrs. Theresa Ann Bryant Richardson, 44, of Elkin, entered the portals of Heaven on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center, Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on March 4, 1969 to Dr. Willie and "Lib" Stanley Bryant. Mrs. Richardson was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was formerly employed by Chatham Manufacturing as a Shipping Clerk and a faithful member of Bible Assembly Baptist Church. Her life was devoted to her family and to the service of her Lord and Savior. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twenty seven years, Tony Richardson of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Monroe and Erika Richardson of Elkin and Anthony William Richardson and fiancé, Brittney Daniel Davis; two beloved grandchildren, Elliot Monroe Richardson and Jace William Richardson; a sister, and brother-in-law, Karen and David Holbrook of Elkin; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Allison Bryant of Elkin; her maternal grandmother Victoria Stanley and herpaternal grandmother, Vallie Bryant both of Elkin; a dear special friend, Rosemary Burchette of Roaring River. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Central Full Gospel Church in State Road by Rev. Larry Andrews and Dr. Willie Bryant with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 2 pm until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duke Medicine Development and Alumni Affairs, Lung Transplant Organization, Attention Karen McCreary, 512 Magnum Street, Suite 400, Durham, NC 27701. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of the Palliative Care Unit of Forsyth Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care.
