Mr. Sylvester Arnold was born February 8, 1942 and departed this life on June 23, 2009 at McCall Hospice House after a period of declining health. He was the son of the late Eliza Mildred Arnold. He was reared in the home of his grandparents the late Robert Lee Arnold, Sr. and Beatrice Yeargin Arnold.
After moving to the City of Greenville, he attended Sterling High School, where he graduated. His last public employment was at Judson Mill. He was a member of New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he was a faithful financial supporter.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories one daughter, Antoinette Arnold; one son, Lester Curtis Arnold--both of Greenville, SC; one aunt, Sarah Lee Epps; three uncles, Robert Lee (Deboarah)Arnold, Jr. of Mauldin, SC; Kenneth L. (Valerie)Arnold of Simpsonville, SC and Warren C. Arnold of Greenville, sC; a loving step-grandmother, Florence S. Arnold of Greenville, SC; two uncles-in-law, Harrison (Alethia) Rearden of Columbia, SC and Willie (Molly) Hopkins of Washington, DC; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
