William Abner Pickett, 91, a resident of McComb, MS passed away at Courtyard Nursing and Rehab on November 09, 2019. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 11, 2019 at Hollywood cemetery in McComb. Hartman Jones Funeral Home will handle the arrangements.

Abner was born on October 14, 1928, in Franklin County, MS to Earl Pickett and Laura Bell Wallace Pickett. He was a member of Tangipahoa Baptist Church and a Master Mason with sixty-three years with John A. Quitman Lodge #244. He retired from Illinois Central Railroad, after retiring he worked security of Seago Lumber Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife; Loretta Pickett, twin siblings; a brother and a sister that were infants when they passed, and a son; Bracey Pickett.

He is survived by his sons; Calvin Pickett and Marina and Don Pickett and his family; step sons, Marshall Stringer and Roberta and Robert Lott and Alida; step daughters, Patricia Huber and Teresa Shaw; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
