Matthew Charles Snow, 22. US Navy sailor, on leave in Boca Raton, Florida, from the USS George Washington (CVN-73) based in Yokosuka. Japan

Seaman Matthew C. Snow, born February 12, 1991 died April 1, 2013. In the United States Navy, Matthew was serving on the U.S.S. Washington, stationed in japan. He was affectionately known by his shipmates as "Snowflake".

Beloved son of Brian and Rachel Dillon, Matthew was a big brother to Bryce. Whether in the next room or across the world their bond of brotherhood was undeniable.

A hero, Matthew died as he lived with integrity and courage. Matthew was a compassionate man loved by many, whose magnetic personality and sense of humor left an indelible print on many lives.

Matthew was survived by maternal grandmother Carol Quick "Gramms"; and paternal grandparents Marie and Peter D'Ettore. His aunts and uncles included: Paul and Teri Young, John Szemansky, Frank Szemansky, Kris Pidgeon, Peter D'Ettore, Alex and Diane Nardi. Cousins include: Carol Jones, Austin Jones, Danielle Young, Kayla Szemansky, Brandon Nardi.

Matthew was taken too soon but will always be in our hearts. We will always remember his bravery, unselfishness, beautiful smile, and his abilty to make us laugh.
