Pauline Garrett, 93 of Woodville, passed away, Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 26th at 11:00am at Woodville Church of Christ. Officiating will be Keith Bellamy.
Pauline was born February 14, 1917 to Joseph Lee & Mary Elizabeth Yates Parks in Lillian, Texas.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, gifted seamstress and a business woman. She ran several student houses at the University of Texas in Austin for the university students while putting her own sons through college. Pauline also co-managed a successful alterations and uniform designing shop with her sister before she retired to Woodville with her husband, Charlie. They were devoted members of Woodville Church of Christ and enjoyed great fellowship with its members. Few people have the same drive and optimism as Pauline, she always believed the best in everyone, and had many friends and admirers.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Garrett, three sisters, Dolalee, Faye, Juanita and one brother, Joe.
She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Larry & Pamela Garrett of Arlington, Darrel & Debbie Garrett of Williamsburg, Virginia, and David & Sherry Garret of Houston; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.
