BILLIE C. CHAFIN, 73, of Huntington, husband of Wandalene Ferguson Chafin, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2004, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Ray Williamson and Arnold "Junior" Bias. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born April 29, 1931, in Naugatuck, W.Va., a son of the late Louis B. and Nannie Gilman Chafin. He was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert J. Chafin. Additional survivors include three sons, Billie Gosset Sr. of Spring, Texas, Donald G. Chafin of Huntington and Ronald D. Chafin of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Billie C. Gosset Jr., Christopher Gosset and Anthony Gosset, all of Spring, Texas, and Donald G. Chafin Jr. and Kayla Marie Chafin, both of Huntington; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Emogene and Bobby Adkins and Sue and Junior Bias, all of Huntington.
