Henry H. (Pete) BOVEE 1/16/15-4/23/96
Pete was diagnosed with emphysema about three years ago, while living in Hesperia. His condition gradually worsened, with congestive heart failure and the need for oxygen twenty-four hours per day.

On March 16, Pete and Ruth moved to Rowland Heights. Although Pete was optimistic, his condition worsened. On April 16th, paramedics were called when he developed breathing difficulties. Pete was taken to Brea Community Hospital, where he was stabilized enough to be transferred to St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton, on April 22nd. Pete was to start a pulmonary rehabilitation program with the hope of improving his quality of life. Unfortunately, early the next morning, he suffered cardiac arrest and passed away.

In keeping with Pete's wishes, we did not have a service. Pete's cremated remains were scattered in a rose garden at Victor Valley Memorial Park, by his immediate family.

Pete will be extremely missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Ruth; his children, Marianne Vaughn of Montclair, Val (and Ron) Schempp of Walnut, Jeff (and Kathy) Bovee of Auburn and daughter-in-law, Charlene Bovee of Long Beach, wife of his son, Bill who pre-deceased him, sister, Janet Williams of Arcadia and brother, Don (and Alverda) Bovee of Hesperia, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
