APPLE CREEK -- Sandra Carole Lester, 66, of Apple Creek, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at her home after a three year battle with cancer.Private services will be held at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster. Interment will follow in Apple Creek Cemetery.Born Dec. 20, 1940, in Marshallville, she was the daughter of Harold and Mabel (Markley) Fleming.She worked as a production worker in the electronics department for Westinghouse in Orrville and had worked at Apple Creek Developmental Center for a number of years.She loved to travel and to attend yard sales and flea markets.Surviving are her husband, Richard Lester, to whom she had been married for 42 years; children and spouses, Nancy and Tom Mays of Conway S.C. and Richard II and Anne Lester of Apple Creek; grandchildren Bryan in the U.S. Marine Corps in Parris Island, S.C., Justin, Jaret and Andrew and his fiancee, Amber; four brothers and three sisters.She was preceded in death by a sister and her parents.
