Robert Ray Morgan, 68, of 1401 A Roberta Drive, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Crawshaw Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will be in Murdale Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Loyal Berean Sunday school class at the First Christian Church or to the Egyptian Association for Mentally Retarded Children.

Mr. Morgan was the retired owner of Morgan Tractor and Morgan Ford. He was a lifelong businessman and farmer.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, Elks Lodge 572, AF & AM 498, Ainad Shrine and was a 32nd-degree Mason.

He was born April 14, 1928, in Murphysboro, to Robert Lee and Elsie (Fulenwider) Morgan.

He married Elizabeth Bernice Borgsmiller Morgan on July 4, 1947, in Murphysboro. She survives.

He was preceded in death by one son, Robert J. Morgan, in 1979, one daughter, Dorothy Ann Morgan, in 1972, and one sister. Dorothy Morgan,in infancy.
