Harold E. DeLong, 79, of 481 Green Lane, Peach Bottom, died of natural causes Thursday at ManorCare Health Services, 100 Abbeyville Road.
A retired farmer, DeLong also was a carpenter and retired from the custodial staff of Franklin & Marshall College after 10 years.
He was a member of Mt. Eden Lutheran Church, Quarryville.
An avid hunter and woodworker, he belonged to Neullin Rod and Gun Club, Sullivan County.
Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Edgar and Jennie Frackman DeLong.
He was married 45 years to Eleanor Stoner DeLong.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Janice Bowermaster of Strasburg, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
