W. BRITSCH DIES IN SLEEP

Funeral services were held March 20, 1957, for William Henry Britsch, 69 year old Medina County rancher-farmer. He died in his sleep sometime Sunday night, March 17.

The oldest son of Joseph Britsch and wife Bertha Britsch, nee Tampke, was baptized Dec. 8, 1887 and confirmed May 8, 1902 in the Quihi Lutheran Church. he was united in marriage to Francis Weiss on Oct. 15, 1913.

Survivors include, besides his wife, two sons, Joe W. Britsch, now in the Marine Corps and stationed at Santa Anna, Calif. and Lawrence Britsch of Hondo; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Schuman of San Antonio and Mrs. Inez Iltis of Castroville; two sisters, Mrs. Robert A. Saathoff of Hondo, and Mrs. John M. Eichholtz of Alpine; one brother, Emil Britsch of Hondo; and nine grandchildren besides many other relatives and friends.

Britsch was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hondo. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. J. Lorfing at the funeral home, and Rev. Crook at the grave.
