Brattin Services Thursday
Services for Monta E. Brattin, 75, 515 W. Eighth, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the Strode Chapel with Rev. Richard M. Peterson in charge. Interment will be at the Fairlawn cemetery with services conducted there by the Hanners-Sharp American Legion Post.
Brattin, who died Tuesday at Oklahoma City, was born on March 24, 1887, at Rocky Comfort, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Brattin.
He came to Oklahoma in 1893 with his family and settled seven miles north of Stillwater and moved to Stillwater in 1906. He was with the Oklahoma State University for 43 years, first with the Veterinary Dept. and was with the Athletic Dept. at the time of his retirement in 1954. He is a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lee Pepin, 506 S. West, and Mrs. Lloyd Adams, of Dragoon, Ariz., and two brothers, Noble, of Weatherford, and Merle A. of Yukon, Okla.
