Peter Daniel Ferden

Peter Daniel Ferden, 80, Nevada, died Sunday, March 5, 1989 at Story County Hospital. Cause of death was a heart ailment. Ferden was ill for eight years. He was a Nevada resident for 44 years.

Ferden was born July 3, 1908 in Rolfe, IA, to Ole and Mary (Frandsen) Ferden. He married Opal L. Sowers Aug. 11, 1945 in Fort Dodge, IA.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter Joanne Hartley of Ankeny, IA; one sister, Mabel Gustafson of Ft. Dodge, IA; three grandchidren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister.

He was employed as a carpenter and electrician at Donnelley Marketing. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He was veteran of WWII.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 9, 1989 at 11 a.m., at Chet Ryan Mortuary. Rev. Brad Braley officiated. A memorial fund has been established.
