Lester Ray Parker, 75, of Van Buren, Arkansas, entered into rest April 1, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born to the late Leonard Parker and Cleo Butler Parker on April 8, 1937 in Barling, Arkansas. He was retired after 32 years working for Whirlpool, was an Air Force Veteran, and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Central City, AR. Lester loved the Razorbacks, and watching Roy Rogers and Gene Autry westerns. Survivors include wife of 49 years, Lavena Parker, two daughters, Vicki Roberts of Van Buren, AR, and Kimberly Parker of Van Buren, AR, one sister Pauline Chronister of Central City, AR, one grandson Justin Ray Roberts, numerous nieces and nephews, and a faithful companion named Harley. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at First Free Will Baptist Church in Central City, AR. Visitations will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR. Pallbearers include his nephews, Ernie Parker, James Brewer, Nick Brewer, Linnie Hice, Roger Ledbetter and Jerry Ray Chronister. Interment at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, AR.
