Mrs. Mary (nee Barile) Salerno, 98, of Nutley, N.J., formerly of Clifton, N.J., passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at The Canterbury, Cedar Grove, N.J. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield, N.J., on Tuesday, April 2, at 10 a.m. The interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Mrs. Salerno was born in Jersey City, N.J., and resided in Clifton before moving to Nutley. She was a secretary for many years for Swift & Co. in New York City before retiring. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jane Re and her husband, Tom; her cherished grandchildren, Tommy Re and his wife, Carrie, Joseph Re and his wife, Colleen, Janine Gibney and her husband, Robert, and Robert Re and his wife, Wendy; also her precious great-grandchildren, Tommy, Stephanie, Anthony, Nicole, Amanda, Tyler, Alex, Samantha and Nicolas. She is also survived by her loving niece, Grace Stavalo. Mrs. Salerno was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Salerno.
