Wilma Justus Blankenship, 80, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013. Mrs. Blankenship was born November 11, 1932 and was a lifelong resident of Black Mountain. She was a graduate of Black Mountain High School, class of 1951. She worked as an accountant for many years, and retired from Charles D. Owen Manufacturing in 1995. It was her family and friends that were her true passion for life. She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Percy and Grace Justus and her loving husband of 57 years Robert O. Blankenship. Wilma is survived by her son Don Blankenship and wife Dorinda of Black Mountain and sisters Joyce Parris of Swannanoa and Norma Mash of Kennesaw, GA.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with the Revered H.D. Hauk officiating. Burial was in Black Mountain City Cemetery.
