She was born Nov. 23, 1979, at Parkersburg, daughter of Ricky L. and Donna Mae Walker Willis of Walker. Tonya was a member of the Church of Christ, and had recently received her bachelor's degree as a registered nurse, graduating with honors and receiving certifications in several areas of health care. She had plans to enter the Physician's Assistant Program.
In addition to her parents, Tonya is survived by her fiance, Harlan Williams; three sisters, Tracy Burrows, Deanna Bunner and Michele Hall; one brother, Shawn Willis; her maternal grandmother, Linda Williams; her paternal grandfather, Daniel Willis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donald Walker; and her paternal grandmother, Lula Willis.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, 1010 Murdoch Ave., Parkersburg. Interment will follow in the Harper Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
