Mrs. Mary Hoot Smith, 86, former Birmingham resident, died Saturday morning at the Masonic Home in Montgomery, where she had been living.
She was born in Greensboro and was a member of Avondale Methodist Church here.
Survivors are a son, Robert Hoot of Birmingham; and brother, C. R. Ramey of Rockford.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Hill. The Rev. Fred Cooper will officiate.
Arrangements are under direction of Johns-Ridout's.
