Mrs. T. F. McGowan, Ex-Teacher, is Dead
Milford - Services will take place tomorrow for Mrs. Annie Hall McGowan, 75, of 454 Bridgeport Avenue, Devon, widow of Thomas F. McGowan, Sr., and a retired teacher, who died Thursday in Griffin hospital, Derby.
The funeral will be conducted at 8:30 a.m. in the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, and at 9 o'clock in St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
Born in Ansonia, Mrs. McGowan was a resident of Devon 30 years. Before retiring she taught at the Lenox Avenue School in Devon. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Teachers, the National Education association, a former member of the Milford Education association and a member of St. Ann's Church, Devon.
Survivors are two sons, Thomas F. McGowan, Jr. of Milford and Joseph J. McGowan of Newtown; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
