Sharon Decker, 75 years, of Dublin, Ohio and a former longtime resident of Sherwood, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin, Ohio. Sharon was born on July 8, 1937 in Bryan, Ohio to Herbert and Lurena (Miller) Allison. She was a 1955 graduate of Bryan High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1960 from Defiance College. Sharon married David Decker on June 14, 1959 in Bryan, and he preceded her in death on June 6, 1992. Sharon assisted her husband David as the Office Manager for their business, Decker Inc. in Sherwood. She was a longtime member of Sherwood United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Sherwood Area Business Women, the Defiance County Republican Women and Delta Zeta Sorority.
Surviving are her three children, Jill (Mark) Wilson of Laurel, Maryland, Scott (Michele) Decker of Dublin, Ohio and Jennifer (Mark) Nicol of Plain City, Ohio; six grandchildren, Alison, Andrea and Paige Decker, Marisa, Sara and Amelia Nicol; one brother, Dennis (Beth) Weaver of Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David.
Visitation for Sharon Decker will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood. Funeral services for Sharon will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013 in the Sherwood United Methodist Church, 512 North Harrison Street, Sherwood with Pastors Kevin Doseck and Larry Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.
