Rial Brewer was born about 1817 in North Carolina, a son of Wiley and Margaret Cockman Brewer. Rial Brewer, age 47, enlisted on June 14, 1862, at Waynesboro, as a private, Company G, 10th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry. Capt. Ryal Brewer, 1st Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry, died November 14, 1862. Original place of burial: Louisville, Kentucky. (National Cemetery Interment Form). Hannah Brewer filed for a Widow's Civil War Pension based on the service of Rial Brewer, G 10 Tennessee Infantry (Civil War Pension Index).
