Aug 3, 1966 - Carroll Daily Times - Funeral services for Henry Boell, 88, a longtime Carroll resident who died at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 2 in St. Anthony Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul Luther an Church. The Rev. Harold W. Kieck will officiate. Interment will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home. The casket will be taken to the church at 9:30 Thursday and remain open until the time of service. There will be a family prayer service at the church at 10:45.
Mr. Boell came to Carroll County from Lyons, N.Y., in 1884. His marriage to Ella Warnke took place April 27, 1904, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Lidderdale. She died in 1923. His home for many years was at 515 North Clark Street and since July 1 of this year he had lived at 812 West 21st Street with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wenck. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three sons, Elmer, Portland, Ore.; Paul, Vail; and Floyd, Carroll; two daughters, Mrs. Wenck (Edna) and Mrs. Elmer (Florence) Fricke, Carroll; 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Boell was preceded in death by an infant son, George; three brothers, William, Charles and Albert, and one sister, Wilhelmina Sporleder.
