Pearl I. Burcin, 88, of Charleroi, died Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born in Nemacolin on August 11, 1921 daughter of the late David Mason and Alice Marsland Mason Weekley. She was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church of Charleroi and the Women of St. Mary's, and was retired as a self employed hairdresser. Pearl is survived by 2 daughters - Sandra (Daniel) McFadden of Monessen and Linda (Dr. Edward) Roberts of Fayette City; 4 grandchildren - William (Marisa) McFadden, Jessica (Daniel) Soltesz, Kelly (Timothy) Melle and Jeffrey Roberts and fiance Shannon Link, 4 great-grandchildren - Connor and Cameron Melle, Maryn McFadden, Maya Pearl Soltesz; one sister - Betty Yates of Huntington, WV., and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Burcin, two sisters Cora Austin and Hazel Bartus, and one brother Lowman David Mason. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 08 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home, 819 Fallowfield Ave. Charleroi. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Hanna, officiating. Burial will take place in the Monongahela Cemetery.
