Freddy passed away March 16th, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born August 10, 1944 in Wheeler County Georgia. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Diana "Suzi" Wright, son and daughter-in-law Joe and Joni Wright, daughter and son-in-law Diana "Sissy" and Brian Johnson, daughter and son-in-law Tina and Andrew Sikes, daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Jim Donald. He is also survived by his sister Nell Crosswhite and brother and sister-in-law Reggie and Sarah Wright. He has 9 grandchildren; Megan, Brandon, Matthew, Emma, Jade, Jacky, Jaron, Zade and Tucker and 3 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. Freddy was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Mildred Wright as well his sister, Joy and brother Dan.

Freddy loved his family, always teaching them that family is the most important thing we have. He was a devoted Grandfather, always taking the time to make each one feel special. He taught us all to always be respectful of others. He loved the outdoors, horses and travel. Freddy never met a stranger and always had a positive attitude. When asked how are you today, Freddy often replied "Better than anyone else you've seen today!"

Freddy traveled the US throughout his 48 year career as a telephone cable splicer. He worked in many places including the US Virgin Islands, Alaska, Virginia, California, Texas and his home state of Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at Elmont Baptist in Van Alstyne on Wednesday, March 20th at 11:30 am. The family will receive visitors prior to the service at Elmont Baptist from 10:00 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Home Hospice of Grayson County.
