Dies Very Suddenly.
The community was shocked yesterday
morning by the announcement of
the sudden Death of Ulrie Larson. He
arose in the morning seemingly in his
usual health, but soon complained of
not feeling well and went back to bed.
Mrs. Larson shortly afterwards stepped
out of doors and upon her return went
into the bedroom and found that he had
passed away. Heart failure is supposed
to be the cause of his death. The
funeral services will be held tomorrow
afternoon at one o'clock from the Danish
Lutheran church, conducted by Rev.
Knudsen. Interment will take place in
the Ebsen cemetery southwest of
He Beresford.
Lars Ulrie Larson was born in Ebberup,
Denmark, October 4, 1863. At
the age of four years he emigrated with
his parents to the United States and
first settled at Cedar Falls, Iowa. In
1872 they removed to South Dakota and
settled in Clay county. He was united
in marriage January 21, 1880, to Miss
Anna Christine Nelson at Yankton.
To this union seven children were born,
three having preceded the father in
death. After his marriage he engaged
in farming until two yours ago when
the family moved to Beresford and
have since made their home here. Besides
his wife and four children — Mrs.
Henry Chrlsteusftn, of Alsen, Mrs. Ernest
Larson, southwest of town, and
Albert and Emma at home — he leaves
his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans
Larson, and a host, of friends to mourn
his untimely death.
Mr, Larson was one of our successful
farmers and well thought of and respected
by the community In which he
resided. He was a dutiful husband, and
indulgent father and obliging neighbor.
The entire community sincerely mourns
his sudden passing and all will join with
the News in extending heartfelt sympathy
to the grief stricken wife, children
and relatives in their dark hour of
sorrow.
