Craig Lawrence Jones, Sr., 62, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on March 30, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on April 3 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home followed by a reception. He will be laid to rest at New Lowell United Methodist Church in Fort Gaines, Georgia.
Craig was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on September 20, 1950. In 1968 he graduated from N.B. Forrest High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
Craig was married to Vicki L. Jones (Fishburne) on November 30, 1977; they were married 35 years. Craig worked as a Captain at the Jekyll Island Fire Department for 20 years. He enjoyed golfing, going to Jacksonville Jaguar games, and listening to music. He was also involved in the local little league as a coach and umpire.
Craig is survived by his wife, Vicki Jones; four children, Craig (Carrie) Jones, Jr., Josh Jones, Garrett Jones, and Ashley Jones; his three grandchildren Trey and Clark Jones, and Iris Rose Velez; his sister, Jennifer (Charlie) Crisp; his sister-in-law, Carol (Robert) Wood; his mother-in-law, Sarah Fishburne; his three nephews, Steven and Adam Crisp, and James Murphy; and the rest of his family and friends. Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Elton Curtis Jones and Ila Mae Crawford.
