Mrs. Susanna Stambaugh, widow of William Stambaugh, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Eisenhart, near Schriver's Lime Kilns, in Oxford Township, at 2 o'clock a.m. on Friday, from complication of diseases, aged 70 years 5 months and 9 days. Mrs. Stambaugh has for many years resided at Qualityville, near town, and was only taken to the home of Mrs. Eisenhart, whom she reared from infancy, on Friday previous to her death. Her husband died about two years ago. The deceased is survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Abraham Myers, Menges Mills, York County; Mrs. Jacob Zepp, Heidlersburg; Mrs. Frank Hetrick, Henry and Jacob Menges, of near town; Daniel Menges of Brushtown, and Peter Menges, of Hanover.
The funeral was held from the Eisenhart home at 9 o'clock on Monday morning, interment being made in the New Oxford Cemetery, after which services were held in St. Paul's Reformed Church, the Rev. W.E. Garrett officiating.
