Mauricio (Morris) Aragon, On May 30, 2009 Mauricio's life ended peacefully at the age of 96. He was born in Shoemaker, New Mexico September 22, 1912. Mauricio was the eldest of 13 children of Tomas and Justita Aragon.

He lived in Avondale 70 years and the last 11 years with his daughters in Phoenix. He served as 1st Lieutenant in World War II in the Army Infantry (88th Infantry Division) and is an Honored Veteran having received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He worked as the Manager of the Avondale Liquor Store for many years. He was a generous supporter of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and of the American Legion Post 61 of which he was a lifetime member.

Morris is survived by his daughters Frances and Debbie, his sisters Martha, Lila, Theresa, Mary Jane, his brothers Lino, Patricio, Tony, Paul, sisters-in-law Margaret, Jean, Norma and Dora and many nieces and nephews.

The viewing will be June 4, 2009 from 6-7 pm followed by the Rosary at 7 pm at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel 926 S Litchfield Rd Goodyear, AZ. The Mass will be celebrated at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 539 La Pasada Boulevard Goodyear, AZ 85338 on June 5, 2009 at 11:00 am. The casket will not be present. The interment is private.
