Mrs. Carl Rolstad, 54, died Wednesday, January 22, at her home a Colfax after a long illness. The funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 25 from the Bremer Funderal Chapel and from the Lutheran church in Colfax with the Rev. S. M. Moe officiating. Interment was in the Boyceville cemetery.
Clara Torgerud was born in 1883 at Whalan, Minn and was married to Gust Olson in 1911. He died in 1932 and in 1933 she married Carl Olstad [sic] who survives.
Mrs. Rolstad was an active member of the Colfax Lutheran church, the Ladies Aid and the Red Cross and worked extensively for projects aimed at foreign relief.
Besides her husband she leaves a son, Melvin Olson, Colfax; a step-son, Royce Rolstad, Florida; two daughters, Mrs. Ervin Abraham, Eau Claire, and Carol, Colfax; her mother, Mrs. Betsey Torgerud; three brothers, Melvin, Clearbrook, Minn, Omar and Lionel, Milwaukee; and eight sisters, Ms. P.B. Toycen, Colfax; Mrs. John T Johnson, Clearbrook, Minn; Mrs. Ben Hodahl, Boyd; Mrs. Matt Halvorson, Hettinger, N. D.; Mrs. John T. Johnson, Milwaukee; Mrs. Nobel Olson, Colfax; Mrs. Fred Crawford; Cumberland; and Mrs. Harvey Mittlestadt, Elk Mound.
