Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Delpha May Sledd, 71, of Placerville, who died April 26 in a local hospital. The Rev. C. Victor Martin of Church of the Nazarene officiated. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery at Diamond Springs.
A native of Missouri, Mrs. Sledd lived in California for 27 years, the last 23 in El Dorado county.
She was the mother of Mrs. Corene Pittman and Vester C. Sledd, both of Placerville; Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell of Vina and Mrs. Ruby D. Germann, of Stockton.
She was the sister of Mrs. Ethel Sledd of Sacramento, Everett Babbitt and Mrs. Edna Branstetler, both of Los Molinas; Mrs. Alpha Beaver of Placerville, and Mrs. Lillian McClanahan of Long Beach.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
