CORINTH and ORONO – Alfred F. Sullivan, 62, died at a Bangor hospital April 9, 2006. He was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Old Town, the son of Marie Sullivan and the late Cornelius Sullivan of Orono. He attended John Bapst High School and was an Air Force Veteran. He lived and worked for several years in Chicago, Ill., before returning to Maine to work and raise a family. He retired last year. Al had a great sense of humor and took life in stride. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends, woodworking projects, camping, water skiing and classical rock music. He was always ready with his tools when anyone needed a hand. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Shelley White and husband, John, Gail Barr and husband, Michael, all of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Dennis Sullivan of Portales, N.M.; grandchildren, Alex, Morgan, Ben and Erynn; also his sister, Joyce Nason of Orono; brothers, Nino Sullivan and wife, Barbara, of Hermon, Donny Sullivan and wife, Bonnie, of Greenbush, Patrick Sullivan and wife, Sandy, of Alton; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Riverside Cemetery, Orono. There will a gathering of family and friend after the services at his sister's home.
