Jimmie Gilda Hendry Lair - SAVANNAH - Jimmie Gilda Hendry Lair, died Friday, March 29, 2013. She was born March 13, 1925 in Waycross, GA, and moved to Savannah as a small child. She grew up on Duffy Street, and enjoyed Forsyth Park, playing with her siblings, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lair, son, Billy, and great-grandson, Cody.
She leaves behind her children, Linda Futrell (Jim), Celia Julian (Bryan), Joanne Lair, Charles Lair (Debbie), and Matthew Lair (Sonja), eight grandchildren, Michelle Joyner, Dustyn Lair, Amber Lair, Matthew Clint Lair, Melinda Goodwin, James and Miriam Julian, and Christina Lanier. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and a sister, Jean Burgstiener, and many nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was a member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, and had attended at times the Evangelistic Tabernacle Church. She is in Heaven and Jesus has greeted her, and she is in her glory.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2013 with a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery, at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
