Mrs. Ruth Leona Lamb, 100, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday evening, July 15, 2020, in the comfort of her home after a recent decline in health.

Ruth entered this life on February 24, 1920, in Spring City, Missouri, one of eight children born to the union of the late Charlie and Cora (Emmitt) Myers. On October 8, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Ilu Ray Lamb and together they shared fifty-two years before his passing on October 27, 1993. Most of their married life was spent in Joplin. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, caring for her cats and spending time with family. She was a member o Blendville Christian Church in Joplin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and six siblings, Alvin Myers, Violet Drake, Gay Jones, Pansy Clark, and twins, Ray and Roy Myers.

Ruth is survived by one sister, Mary Daugherty of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening, July 2, 2020 from 6-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin. Private burial will take place on Tuesday at Stockton Cemetery in Stockton, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin.
