Buck is the son of "Steve" Carlyle Spears, Sr. and "Donnie Sue" REYNOLDS Spears; brother of Christopher Derek "Chris" Spears and Jonathan "Daryl" Spears; husband of "Monica" Ruie BOLDING Spears; grandson of Bessie "Granny" CHRISTMAS Reynolds and Don "GranDad Brute" Reynolds, the late James Kenneth Spears and the late Plummer Lee DEWEESE Spears; great grandson of the late Robert Christmas and the late Nettie "Grandma" Christmas; uncle of "Austin" Cade Spears, "Conner" James Spears, "Chloe" Michelle Spears and Steven Christopher Spears; nephew of Mitchell Spears, James Spears, Tom Reynolds, Jan Reynolds, and Jill Reynolds.

Buck was a good man with honor and love for God, family, friends and strangers. A true human of integrity, courage, faith and devotion.

He was tragicly murdered by three monsters enroute home with his wife after a birthday party for his nephew Conner's fifth birthday with entire family.

Since his death, Buck has been honored in many, many ways. He has a Memorial Page at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~owengrantland/InMemoryofStevenForever.html The city of Montevallo, Alabama signed a resolution dedicating the number one ballfield to his name and honor and hosted a wonderful ceremony in which they retired his jersey number 9, presented plaques, balls and jerseys to immediate family members and set free balloons. The city of Columbiana, Alabama held a candlelight vigil in his honor and memory. There have been numerous newspaper articles and television stories concerning him and the memorializing of him.

God has a wonderful angel in Buck.

He is tremendously missed and loved by his family, friends and home area.
