Mr. Stansell died Tuesday,June 5,at Woodland Medical Center.He was born on Feb. 23,1949,in Cullman to Hiram David and Lucy Caroline Lay Stansell. He was vice president of Ryans Creek Contracting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother,Harold Stansell.
Suvivors include his wife,Linda Kennedy Stansell; four daughters, Kimberly[David} Williams,Kristie Carden,Brigitte{Brian}Lacky and Krista Pitts: a son Mike{Kelly} Simpson;a brother,Jerry Stansell; and seven grandchildren,Jessica England,Michael Carden, Riley Allcorn,Aiden Simpson,Emily Willliams,Justin Carden and Clint Hall.
In lieu of flowers,the family request donations be made to LifeCare Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
