Reverend Cleland Kinloch Nelson, was born at Belvoir in about 1814, He was a minister of the Protestant Episcopal church and "his influence for good was felt throughout the entire community." He moved to Annapolis, Maryland, which was thereafter his home. He married first in 1840, Mary Anne Marbury, daughter of John Marbury, of Georgetown, D.C., children included:
1. Mary Cleland, was born in 1842 and married in 1868, Holmes E. Offley, banker, Washington D.C. and children.
2. John Marbury Nelson, born in Washington D.C. on March 3, 1845 and died in 1922. He married Ella Martha Delaphaine, 1868.
Secondly, Reverence Nelson marrried Mary Hagner, of Washington D.C. and children included:
a. Fanny Nelson
b. Hugh Nelson
