Samuel S. Failor, 79, of 718 Marden Ave., Shippensburg, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at home.
Born Sept. 19, 1922, in Newville, he was a son of the late Harry B. and Grace (Strickler) Failor.
He was retired from Letterkenny Army Depot near Chambersburg.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Failor is survived by his wife, Isabell V. Frohm Failor; three daughters, Pat Franklin of Newburg, Doris J. Smotherman of Newville and Vickie A. Gruver of Carlisle; one sister, Ida G. Losh of Carlisle; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. The Rev. Jeffrey A. Canankamp and Rev. John A. Ile Jr. will officiate.
Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with graveside military services conducted by the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion posts.
