PONTOTOC – Chester V. Henderson "Bud", 76, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center of Pontotoc. He was born on July 2, 1936 to Chester Wilton and Lera Henderson, in Pontotoc County. He married Elsie Montgomery on Jan. 4, 2002. He was a Christian and a member of Camp Ground Methodist Church. He worked as head maintenance at Sterling in Little Rock, Ark. He loved his family, riding his four-wheeler, gardening, working in the yard and hunting with his wife.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Galloway and Bro. Don McCain officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Ground Cemetery of Pontotoc.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Montgomery Henderson; four sons, William Henderson of Guntown, David Henderson (Pam) of Nettleton, Alvin Simpson (Lisa) of Pontotoc and Jerry Simpson of Tupelo; three daughters, Brenda Lanham (Michael) of Roland, Ark., Linda Henderson (Jimmy) of Eupora and Jimmie Lee Moorman of Pontotoc; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Roselee Brooks (James) of Saltillo; four brothers, Allen Henderson of Mountain Home, Ark., Louis Henderson (Joyce) of Scott, Ark., Aubrey Henderson of Pontotoc and Lester "Benny" Henderson (Bert) of Little Rock, Ark.; and host of nieces and nephews.

He preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Betty Henderson, the mother of William, Brenda, Linda and David.

Pallbearers to serve will be Dave Henderson, Michael Raley, Joseph Benson, Drew Cornelius, Willie Henderson, Ronald Benson and James (Trey) Duvall. Honorary pallbearer to serve will be Josh Simpson
