~ ~ ~ Obituary ~ ~ ~ The Record Delta:
Tabitha Jane Cole, 28, of Volga died Thursday, September 29,2005, at her home following a lifelong battle with multiple sclerosis.
She was born April 24, 1977, at Buckhannon, a daughter of Woodrow Thomas and Mary Jane (Wentz) Cole, who survive at Volga. Also surviving are two brothers: Woodrow "Bub" Cole II, and Christopher Cole of Buckhannon; two sisters: Angel Cole of Volga and Sue Schoonover of Texas; paternal grandmother Birdy Noell of Philippi; niece Hannah Cole of Buckhannon; Brayden Cole of Belington; aunts and uncles: Bill and Barbary Chaapel, Gary and Margie Wentz, David and Charlotte Wentz, all of Hall; Dave and Rachel Newman, Jim and Nancy Noell, Betty and Russell Bartlett, all of Philippi; Steve and Sandy Wentz, Carrollton, Robert and Sue Weaver, of Pennsboro; Robert and Beulah Ruckman of West Mildford; Donald and Teresa Wentz of Clarksburg; Patty and Tom Carpenter of Texas; Michelle and Steve Carpenter of Belington. She was also preceded in death by paternal grandfathers: Woodrow Wilson Cole and James Noell, maternal grandparents: Cyrus David and Martha Olive Smith Wentz, and by uncle George McCauley Sr. Miss Cole had attended school at Barbour County Special Services Center at Belington and formerly attended the Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren. Friends were received Saturday, October 1, 2005, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2005, from the Stemple and Forman Funeral Home, 385 So. Main St., in Philippi. The Rev. Destry Daniels officiated and the burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery at Hall. The Stemple and Forman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
