Norma Emma Metcalf Aerts

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend returned home to her Heavenly Father suddenly September, 5, 2002 where she was reunited with her husband Floyd of 46, years. Norma was born February 25, 1925 in Gunnison, Utah the daughter of Junius and Sylvia Metcalf.

Norma graduated from Gunnison Valley High School. She served in the Southern California LDS Mission. She graduated from BYU Cum Laude in 1970 with a Bachelor degree in education. After which she taught in the Jordan School district for 11 years and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Professional Sorority. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. An active member of the LDS church she held numerous callings and loved serving her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her children Kathy Panek, Sandy, UT; and David (Elaine) Aerts Riverton, UT; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother Reed (Pauline) Metcalf Salt Lake City, UT.; and sister Barbara (James) Bown, Gunnison, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, parents and brother Herschel.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 9, 2002 at 12:00 Noon at the SilverCrest Ward Chapel, 9119 S. 1300 E. Sandy, UT. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 E. 7800 S. (Bengal Blvd) and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church.
