William L. Minard, 77, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2001. Mr. Minard was a resident of the local area since 1961 and served his country in the US Navy in World War II in the South Pacific aboard the USS Princeton where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was an avid horseman and established the Circle M Riding Club which was enjoyed by his family and many friends. Mr. Minard was also a long time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Survivors include his former wife of 37 years, Helen Minard, daughters, Sandy Peterman ( Kirk), IL, Carol Cleighton ( Walt), LA, Janet Rovelli, Donna Adair ( Wayne), sons, John Minard ( Stephaney), Billy Minard ( Susan ), brothers, Bob Minard, VT and Chuck Minard, ( Doris ), grandchildren, Brian, Scott, Kim, Jennifer, Tim, Alyson, Tommy, Stefanie, Donielle, Alicia, Devin, Laura, Casey, Eliah, Matthew, Andy and Adam, and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2001, 2:00 PM in the chapel of JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fla., with Rev. Don Huff, officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, June 27, 2001 from 6 until 8 PM.
