Ava Jean Kaylor Allen Phillips

(BOWDON, Ga.) Funeral services for Mrs. Ava Jean Kaylor Allen Phillips, 49, of
Bowdon, were Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994 at 2 p.m. from Potash Church of God, with Revs.
S. T. Janney and Dennis Robinson officiating. Burial was at Potash Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips died Friday, Dec. 31, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.
A Cleburne County native, Mrs. Phillips was born Nov. 10, 1944, daughter of
O. V. and Vassie Smith Allen. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a
homemaker. A son, Anthony Wayne Richardson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Charlene West of Lawrenceville, Ga., Mary
Elizabeth Phillips of Cummings, Ga., and Tina Victoria Phillips of Roanoke; a son,
Edward Dean Richardson Jr. of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Timothy Dale Esco, Justin
Dean Richardson and Tyler West; a half-sister, Ellen Elizabeth Kaylor of North Carolina;
and two half-brothers, Lloyd Marvin Kaylor Jr. of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Wayne Forrest
Kaylor of Chamblee, Ga.
Pallbearers were Wayne Ledbetter, Mack Ledbetter, Jack Ledbetter, Gary Spears,
Charles Ray Baughn and Clarence Baughn.
Mrs. Phillips had requested that flowers not be accepted and had suggested memorial
contributions be made to further the study and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The
family is honoring that request.
Quattlebaum Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
