Lynn A. Dalen, 53, Minot, ND, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Lynn Alan Dalen was born January 14, 1960, the son of James and Colleen (Anfinson) Dalen, in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1979.
Lynn was once married to Rhonda Borud. They made their home in Minot. From this union, three children were born: Craig, Paul, and Amber. Lynn started his career as a master carpenter at Dalen Siding and Windows for a time and was currently working at Northern Prairie Home Improvement.
Lynn was once married to Corrine Spaulding. From this union, a daughter, Erica, was born.
He had the gift of woodworking and could build most anything. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to concerts, and spending time at his cabin at Rice Lake. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and all of his dogs, which he named Damian.
Surviving family includes: children, Craig (Michelle) Dalen, Ft. Bliss, Texas, Paul (Jennifer) Dalen, Minot, Amber (Bryan) Wagner, Minot, and Erica Dalen, Minot; grandchildren, Adrianna, Brayden, Gavin, Carolina, Naudia, Kage, and Charles; mother, Colleen Dalen, Minot; brother, Steve (Sharon) Dalen, Great Falls, MT; sister, Kim Dalen, Oklahoma City, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lynn was preceded in death by his father; granddaughter, Patricia Dalen; and nephew, Gary Dalen.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
