Billy Joe Gage, 60, of Rt. 1, Knobley Road, Burlington, WV, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at his residence.

Born on August 26, 1952 at Madill, OK, he was a son of the late Sara (Fowler) Hawthorne.

Mr. Gage was employed as a heavy equipment operator and attended Lighthouse Ministries on Knobley Road. He also served in the United States Army.

Surviving are one son, Billy Lavelle Gage and fiancee Tammy Boyer of Burlington; one stepdaughter, Sherry Stanley and husband Keith of Orange, TX; two sisters, Terri Conner of Buna, TX and Tonnee Hawthorne of Silsbee, TX; a stepbrother, Max Hawthorne of Silsbee; a stepsister, Brenda Hawthorne of Silsbee; one grandson, Walker Lane Gage of Evadale, TX; two stepgrandchildren, Joseph and Mariah Stanley of Orange; nieces and nephews, Kynder and Chelsee Conner, Randi Fregia and Garrett Landis; his former wife, Brenda Bergeron of Orange and his best friend who was like a brother, Randy Fuslier.

A gathering of family and friends with a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. at the home of Terri Conner, County Road 716 in Buna, TX.
