SERVICES HELD FOR MINCO PIONEER RESIDENT

Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church, Minco, Monday afternoon for Charles Madison Johnson, 79, who passed away at an Oklahoma City hospital Saturday evening, Rev. H.M. Lewis, pator of the Methodist Church officiated woth Lester Stowe of the Church of Christ assisting.
Charles Madison Johnson was born at Santa Fe, Murray county Tennessee on February 14 1871 and passed away in St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City November 11, 1950 at the age of Seventy-nine years, eight months and 28 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Lena Stone on December, 23, 1897 at Stephensonville, Texas. To this union ten children were born, four sons and six daughters, all of whom survive and were present at the service. He was a member of the Baptist Church having been baptized in 1911.
He is survived y his wife, four sons, Ben H, of El Reno; Charles M. and William R. of Oklahoma City and Ralph S. of Guthrie. Six daughters, Mrs. Henry Unruh of Minco; Mrs. Nina Clark of Cresent; Mrs. Lucille Hunter of Oklahoma City Mrs. Thelma Totoro of Dallas, Texas; Mrs. Erline Hardy of Camp Polk, Louisiana and Mrs. Laverne (Bobby) Brandley of El Reno. One brother, Ennis Johnson of Tulsa and six sisters, Mrs. Geva Scroggins, Mrs. Charles Winston and Mrs. Ewel McMahan of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Maud Stevens of Brownsville, Texas; Mrs. Henry Knox of Sand springs, Oklahoma and Mrs. N.A. Reno of Minco. There are fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
