"Herbert" was a son of William Martin Simpson (1862-1944) and Caroline Henrietta Riehm (1867-1949). He was born in the town of Berlin, Waterloo County in the year 1892.

He married his 1st wife, Edith Verona Clark (1895-1923) on May 12, 1920 in Kitchener but sadly she died at the young age of 28 years. Marriage Affidavit #026446.

So, "Herbert" married for the 2nd time to Edna Caroline Brentigam (1901-1992) on Aug. 02, 1927 in Neustadt, Normanby Twp; Marriage Affidavit #012016.

"Herbert" passed away at the old age of 91 years, 2 months and 1 day.

He is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery in Kitchener beside his 2nd wife.
