On October 8, 1863 she married Oliver Elliott, in Ray Co., MO.
She shares this stone with three of her sons, all of whom died in 1873. She died 18 Dec 1874; her headstone says she was 28 yrs, 8 mos., 3 days, but I (dlg) calculated 29 yrs, 4 mos, 3 days.

Update: Bible records once belonging to Oliver Elliott confirm that Sarah E. Elder was born 15 April 1846 and died 18 Dec 1873 (following childbirth). The year of Sarah's death was not 1874, as engraved on her grave stone. Oliver Elliott married his second wife in March 1874. Sarah Elder's mother was Elizabeth (maiden name unknown/unproven), the widow of an unknown man named Goings. Sarah had six children; only two children lived to adulthood.
