Attending schools in Salt Lake City and graduating from South High School, Cindy was the daughter of Robert Hancock Wanlass and Virginia Lee Swafford. Born in Salt Lake City, she married Richard Brent Kelly on February 22, 1975. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple May 9, 1989. She worked for McDonald’s and was their first woman manager. A substitute teacher in the Madison School District, Cindy taught Chapter 1 at the Lyman Elementary School and computers at Madison Middle School. A member of the LDS Church, she taught Primary and was involved in the Scouting program. Serving on the Board of Directors for Madison baseball in Rexburg, she organized Salt Lake City’s first St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Delighting in her children, she is survived by a daughter, Amanda Marie Kelly, a son, Cody Brent Kelley, her husband, Richard Brent Kelley; her mother, Virginia Wanlass; two sisters, Laura (David) Medici and Wendy (Kevin) Gouldsburg; brothers, Bob (Leslie) Wanlass and Dennis (Karen) Wanlass. Preceded in death by her father and a sister, Linda Gates, she passed away at her home in Rexburg.
