She was born in Calhoun County, W.Va., on Aug. 9, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys Godfrey Hopkins. She was a homemaker and beautiful mother who was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Veto Gospel Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gary A. Masters; three daughters, Barbara E. (Wayne) Vogelsong of Coolville, Ohio, Julie McCune of Vienna, Anita K. (Tim) King of Cutler, Ohio; son, David (Lori) Meek of Beverly, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Amber, Jason, Brandon, Josh, Andy, Tyler, and Levi; two great-grandchildren, Braylon and Bristol; three sisters, Vonda L. Todd of Columbus, Ohio, Barbara Jean Steward of Belpre, Jo Ann Welch of Cutler; and a brother, Thomas Hopkins of Charleston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandchild, Nicole and a sister, Shirley Jordan.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Wayne Vogelsong and Randy Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Belpre. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart Association.
